“Yeah!!!!! Its holiday!!”
This is the words I always heard since last week. Yes! Semester break of my university is start tomorrow. It is going to be a long break that will lasting for three months. Well, most people might be very happy with holiday but for me, nothing special with it. I rather choose to be busy over my assignment than doing nothing at home. Finally, I decide to find a job that related with my interest. I always know what I really like and what I really want to be. Without thinking any further, I call to the human resources office and fax to them my resume. Day by day pass away this is the third day. I’m still doing nothing at home and being my family’s driver.
“So boring! I better take a nap to pass my boring holiday” this is what I thought in my heart.
“What is the bright light over there but why I can’t see anything around me? Only darkness surrounds me?” I spoke to myself. With a little scare in my heart, I run to the sources of light.
“Wow! I couldn’t open my eyes! So bright!!” I kept talk to myself and walk a few step.
Suddenly, “Arhh~~!!!!!” I scream when I couldn’t feel anything under my legs. I fell into steep.
“Hey! Shut up! Are you crazy shouting like a mad at night??” my sister scolding me with her mess hair.
“Sorry~~! I have nightmare just now.” Feeling not satisfied while explaining to her and surprise I have a long sleep since evening. So frightening with the feeling of floating in air just now. Feel like dying but luckily that just a dream. What in my mind now just a word ‘SLEEP’! So I just continue my sleep without bother my sister that keep on murmuring.
I can hear that there is a comfortable voice that sings a song that quite familiar to me but I couldn’t recognize it. I try harder to open my eyes and I saw a man’s figure in dark. I couldn’t see his face. But from the figure I can feel that he is a tall man and have broad shoulder. I feel like to approach the man but I can’t move any further I just can watch him from far.
In a blink of eyes, everything in front of me changes. I am in a van and a lady that I can’t see her face clearly is standing outside the van. The man is sitting so close to me in the van. He is holding my hand. This time I can see his face. He is very good looking. So confuse what is happening. But I can feel that the van is going to start its journey. “Maybe someone is driving” I think myself. I see that the lady still standing outside the van with her sad eyesight looking at the guy beside me. So strange, why she doesn’t get into the van? I couldn’t open my mouth to speak.
The guy let off my hands and get out off the van. He immediately hugs the lady and turn to me with his eyesight that I will never forget. Even he is not saying anything but I can feel so hard in my heart. I feel hard to breath. The man keep look at me with his regretful eyesight. The van started to move. My world is shaking!
“Ouch!” I shout! I open my eyes, my mom is standing beside my bed with my hand phone in her hand.
“Hey! Wake up, its almost afternoon don’t you sleep like a pig! Pick up your call!” her murmuring at me non-stop.
“Hello.” I answer my hand phone.
“Hello, may I speak to Coral? I am Starfish from Redang Beach Resort, Human Resources Department” A sweet voice of the person on the line introducing herself.
“Err… Yes I am Coral speaking here” I feel so nervous when saying like that I can guess what is the next line will be speak by the young lady.
“Ok, well, I’ve receive your resume, and your application to fill our vacancy of reception counter has being approved.” said Starfish.
“Hah! Get it!” I think in my heart.
“Ah! Really?? So when can I started to work?” So excited with what Starfish has said.
“Can u come to Redang Beach Resort by next Monday and bring together your original certificate and 5 pieces of passport size photo?” said Starfish.
“Ok, I’ll reach there before noon, anyway, thanks and bye.” I say with a big smile.
When I think again, today is Thursday, next Monday? Just left a few days for me to prepare.
“ Hai…just calm down everything will be settled.” Sigh in my heart. I think myself. My mind back to the dream that I have dreamt just now. What a strange and meaningless dream.
“What it means? Why that guy look at me like that? Why I feel so sad when he look at me like that? I really don’t understand. Just forget about it, it is just a dream.” I think myself but I still remember that someone has told me before sometimes dream did bring us some important message.
Time pass by so fast, Sunday night has come, I have to start my journey from Penang to Terengganu by bus. My parents just sent me to the bus station and ask me to take care of myself. They don’t worry because this is not the first time I stay far away from family.
In the bus, I place my luggage in the compartment above my seat, left a small backpack with me that with important document, money and hand phone in it. No matter what happen I’ll make sure that the bag always with me. I choose a seat next to window. I fall asleep again since I feel so tired after packing for the whole day since morning. So comfortable. When I open my eyes, I feel something heavy on my head. I make a big move. So surprise seeing a guy sitting beside me that also fell asleep. The heavy thing is his head. He sleeps on my head! He wakens up when I pull my head away. With his half open he looks at me. I just stare at him.
“What happen? Izzit accident happen?” he asked.
“Yea, a guy has been beaten?!” I answer angrily.
“Oh really?? Amazing! When that happens?” he asks in excitement.
“Now!!!” I punch his hands as hard as I could.
“Hey!! What the hell you are doing?!” he lift up his hand ready to fight back.
“Don’t you know you have placed your dumb head on my head since a few hours ago?” I speak loudly to him.
“That is?? So can u please speak gently? Fine…! My fault I won’t fight with a woman” he lower his voice and sit back to his position.
“Well, I also don’t want to hurt my hand to fight with you” I lower my voice when I realize most of the passenger in the bus has woken up by us.
Without bothering him, I continue my sleep. When I wake up again, the bus have reach jetty and the guy that sit beside me has gone. I quickly get my luggage and get off from the bus. While waiting for the boat to come, I go to a stall for having breakfast. Nasi lemak and a cup of hot coffee are my choice. Not many people in the stall, just a few customers, but the one that catch my attention are the guy that I fought with last night. He smiles at me and wave to me then point to the chair next to him that is empty. I walked to him.
“Hi.” this is the only word I can speak out off my mouth.
“Hello! Let’s sit together and sorry for what is happening last night.” he speaks gently to me.
“Er…ok…maybe my fault too, is it your hand still hurt? Ok…sorry.” what I think, apologize is the best. What else to say since he has say sorry to me.
“Opss!! Forget to introduce myself, I am Plankton. Nice to meet you. And you are?” he shaking hand with me.
“I’m Coral. Nice to meet you too” I answer simply.
We start chatting and so surprise, I get to know that he is student from University Sience Malaysia. He also going to Pulau Redang for working just to fulfill his holiday and we might work in the same resort some more. We chat and chat, like close friends, exchange hand phone number and don’t realize the time pass so fast, it is 9am and the boat has come. We get into the same boat together. Along the journey, we kept talking about our own thing. I found out that he is actually a nice guy. He has the same dream as me. Both of us love sea and all creatures underwater. Even we still not have ability to realize our dream yet, but what we know is if we have a chance to get near to our dream we will satisfy. So finally we choose to work at a place that rich with coral that are main ecosystem for most of the underwater creatures. At least the chance for us to get near to those animals is bigger.
At Pulau Redang I can see that the sea water is so clear. I can see all the fishes swim underwater. Feels like to drink the water. I look at Plankton. His face looks like glow with happiness stepping in the water. At that time he really looks like a child.
Splash!!!!
A bulk of water slashed to my whole body.
“Hey you! Stay there!” I chase Plankton and throw water to him too. I feel strange even I scold him but I didn’t feel any anger in me but what I feel is joyful.
We run together to the resort we suppose to be in before noon. There are many other people show up at the human resources office too. At the office, we are given a room for staff and we all have to start working by the next day. Me and Plankton walk separately to our room. In the room I met my roommate. Just two of us sharing the room. After introducing our self, we start unpack our luggage. At the evening, we all new staff are informed to gather at the canteen at 7pm to having dinner. At the canteen, look for a place that is comfort to seat to have dinner.
“Yohoo~~!! Miss coral!! Over here!” someone is shouting. I look around and I see Plankton is waving his hand at the corner of the canteen.
“Wow! How can u find such a strategic place like this? While eating we still can feel the breeze of the wind with the sunset?” I am stunned by the sunset that can be seen from the seat Plankton reserved for me.
“Well~~ is hard to explained by the scientific theory..hahaha” he looks so proud.
“Hey, please save it up.” I stare at him couldn’t stand with what he had said but feel funny with it.
“Ouch! What is that??” I call in pain when like something stings on my ear.
“Nothing just my hand accidentally lost its way and crash on your ears. Hahahaha.” He burst in laugh and takes off his hand then ready to run away.
“Hey you! Don’t run!” I unable to catch him so I throw a plastic spoon to him but couldn’t hit target.
He keeps running with joy. I also laugh by myself when I saw him be like this. After tired of chasing him I back to my seat together with Plankton.
“Did anyone ever tell you, you have a pair of eyes that can smile?” Plankton suddenly says.
“What? You think I am alien? My eye can smile? Or your English is damn worst? What you get in your MUET? Hahaha!” I feel funny and totally don’t understand what he is talking about.
“Just forget about it…” he continues to have his meal when he sees my reaction.
Start from the day whenever he saw he, he will wave his hand to me even at work time. I just smile and give a small wave to him and we will sit at the same place we sat the first day to have our meal no matter breakfast, lunch and dinner. The place seems like belong to two of us. Every night I’ll receive a short message from him saying good night to me. Every time when he is not around, my eyes will busy looking for him. Sometimes my mind full with Plankton’s face but I just ignore it.
“He is just my friend” I keep reminding myself.
Tomorrow will be my holiday after a month working. Same as Plankton, we will have 5 days of off day. This is the time I’m waiting for since I came here. I will go for snorkeling! So sad cause I still can’t go for diving I don’t have diving license yet. I really hope today time will pass by a bit faster I can’t wait for tomorrow’s sun to come out. Like usual today I having all my meals with Plankton again. At night, after finish my work and saying bye to all the other staffs that work at the same shift I prepare to go back to room but when I check my hand phone, there is an unread message from Plankton. He told me to meet at the balcony of Redang Beach Resort at 9pm. I look at my watch it is 9:30pm.
“Oh no. I’m late.” I run to the balcony immediately. And see him stand the facing to the sea.
“Hi!! What’up?! So late still being here?” I break the breeze of night and interrupt him.
“Finally my Miss Coral has shown up” his hand pulling my hair gently but it doesn’t feel hurt.
“Hey. What means by ‘your Miss Coral’? I am belong to my parents.” I just push his hand away.
“Hahaha I’m just kidding. OK just forget about it. Let me show you something. I think you will prefer it. Come on.” he grabs my hand and I just follow him but feel curious what is happening actually.
“Where are we going actually?” I ask to make sure.
He stops and looks at me then smile and said “Just follow me” he still holding my hand and keep walking. I guess we are going into the other resort area. The place is so dark I feel a little bit scare so I stand closer to Plankton and hold his hand tightly.
“Don’t worry nothing to be scare here. I’ll be beside you.” I think he can read my mind. I keep saying nothing but just follow.
He stops at the shore and digs something from the sand.
“Give me your hand” he put the sand into my hand and I can see something blue that glow among the sand. A blue that I never seen before it is so beautiful. I can see clearly seen the blue color are so many among the sand. I just can hold it and watch in joy.
“What is this? Wow! So beautiful. How you find this blue sand out?” I can’t control myself to ask him.
“Well, I know you’ll like it. You know the glow in dark blue color sand is actually not sand. It is plankton. That is me…but don’t feel too happy yet one you hold it, it will die in a minute. Means that it will not glow anymore means u are killing me.” He explains like an expert but still added some unreasonable joke.
“Die? Die in my hand? Ah! Really most of them not glow anymore! This! This! And this too!! Oh no! I don’t want to be plankton killer!” I throw the sand away back to the beach and ignore his joke.
“Ah….Actually it’s ok….like this u can try by wipe off the upper layer of the sand gently immediately u can see the plankton glow in blue color.” He laughs at me while showing me how to do.
“Stop laughing..but is it true? I wanna try! Ahh!! It is glowing! See!! Hahaha!” I just wiping the sand but I realize Plankton keep watch me and smile.
“I think you have to thank me for showing you this place and this special plankton right? So how do u want to return my kindness?” like usual the way he talk to me.
“Ok….thank you Mr Plankton.” I didn’t bother him I keep playing with the plankton.
“Just thank you? Not enough. At least… can you…” he looks at me like something important to say.
“What should I say?” I stop and look at him.
“Er…ok…can you sings a song for me…birthday song?” he says with his broad smile.
“What?! Today is your birthday?? Why don’t you tell me earlier? So sorry, I haven’t prepared any present for you, I don’t know today is your birtyday!! Happy Birthday my friend! Do you need a hug from me? Ha! Just kidding…or…I give I the largest present you ever had. DA DANG!! Air of Redang Island!! Hahaha you can have as many as you could hahaha…! Ok…kidding again.” I laugh myself
“It is not funny…” his face looks expand like a balloon.
“Ok..ok..don’t angry let me sing birthday song for you. Hahaha…!” feel so funny seeing Plankton looks like this.

“Hahaha! Yeah!! Someone has become older!!! Ok now….face to the sea and make a wish! Faster birthday wish is very very important! It sure will come true!” I push him to face to the sea. He smile and follow what I ask him to do. He closes his eyes and makes a wish I guess.
After a minute he opens his eyes and look at me. “Do you know what wish I had make just now?”
“No! You can’t let anyone know your wish. Just keep it yourself. Otherwise the wish will vanish.” Immediately I stop him from talking.
“Izzit true? Ok…I’ll keep it as my secret but once it comes true I’ll let you know. Thanks for tonight I’m so happy you can accompany me at here now.” he smile and look at me when he say this.
“Welcome! Oh yes! Tomorrow is our off day we go to snorkeling together ok? Err…I’ll show you baby shark as a birthday present to you.” He looks at me and both of us burst in laugh after I said that.
Plankton stops laughing and seems like so nervous. I look at him and ask “You look weird tonight. Not like yourself. What happen to you?”
“Actually…I…” he says word by word.
“What? You are facing any problem? Just tell me what happen. Maybe I can help you.” I still waiting for what Plankton is going to talk.
“I got something to ask you.” finally he can speak fluently.
“Yes? I’m waiting for your question.” almost lost patient.
“Can I face to the sea and say?” he asks.
“Sure. As you like.” I just simply answer.
I stand behind Plankton and wait to see what he is going to do.
“Today all the stars above the sky, all the sand filling the beach and all the creature in the sea will be witness Mr. Plankton want to please Miss Coral to be his girlfriend. Will you?” he turns to me and looks into my eyes. I left my mouth half opened. So surprise. I got nothing to say. Everything is so sudden.
“Hey, Coral. Are you ok?” Plankton shakes my body.
“Yes? Err…am I listen to something wrongly?? Don’t fool me even I know today is your birthday?” I am still not daring to believe.
“I’m serious! I am very sure! So how about you? Would you accept me as your boyfriend? Or you want to say you never like me? Oh…how can you treat me like…” His words are interrupted by me.
“No! I like you, I…” I clasp my mouth with both of my hands.
“Haha! Finally I get an answer from you.” He laughs as loud as he could.
“How can you trick me like this?” feeling like cheated by him.
“Well~~. Start from today you are my girlfriend! Don’t worry I promise I’ll stay beside you and trust you no matter what happen. I won’t leave you alone and I want you to be the happiest woman in the world because of me and I’ll protect you. I won’t let anyone hurt you…I promise…” he looks into my eyes with his sincere eyesight.
“I haven’t agreed with you yet.” I decline as fast as I could. But actually I am so touched by his words.
“According to what you said just now I assume you have agreed with me…” he holds my hand but I didn’t pull back.
“Hey!! See!! Meteor! Make a wish!!” I yell out when I see meteor flying above us. I close my eye and make a wish.
“So childish. You still believe in this thing? Ha ha ha but can you tell me what wish you has made?” Plankton laugh at me but he seems so curious what I wish for.
“Do you thinks I’ll tell you? No way…” I stare at him not liking him laughing at me.
“Its ok…each of us now keeps a secret from each other…opss!! Coral I think it is too late for you to be here. Let’s go back to hostel now.” Plankton says to me without let my hand off and we walk together back to hostel.
“Until here I have to say bye to you. Tonight is the most special night for me. Thanks for entering my life and remember my promise.” Plankton says at the front of my room door. He kisses on my cheek. I can feel the warmth of his lips on my face and leave me in front of my door.
“Good night” I say and I see him turn to me again and wave at me. I feel hot all over my face. I feel happy and sweet with what had happen just now.
That times my mind just full with Plankton. Everything happens suddenly.
“Oh my goodness! Its you!” someone say in loud voice behind me wake me from my own world and I see my roommate stand behind me with the door open.
“Sorry am I shocking you? Sorry…sorry…” keep apologize to her but feel funny seeing her face look like sawing ghost before that.
“Your face looks so different tonight. Like…happier than usual. Hah! What happen?! Falling in love? With who…? With Plankton?Hahaha…I can see your face become red already!! It is true!!” She kept laughing at me make me so embarrassed but I actually happy to hear it. I nod my head slowly.
“Finally…I knew both of you will be together one day… And the day has come” she laugh and walk away.
I laugh together and get into room and rest.
Tomorrow going to be an interesting day for me. The day I’m waiting for because I am going to explore the sea!!!
Lie on my bed I still, think of Plankton. Think of our future. “Stupid! Too early to consider about that! You just start the relationship.” I scold me in my mind then me slowly drawn into my sleep.
“You got a message” I jump up and I find where the voice come from.
“Oh…I am so dumb…I’ve receive a message…where is my hand phone?” I found it under my pillow.
“Gd morning sweet Coral! It’s da time 4 snorkeling! Wake up, I’l wait 4u at balcony. From: Plankton.!”
I read the message in my heart.
I better get ready now or I might miss the beauty of the sea. I run to meet Plankton at balcony at soon as possible.
“Hi. Good morning. Have a sweet dream last night?” said Plankton when he sees me.
“Sure! I dream I was dive to the bottom of the sea and I saw so many tiger fishes, crown fishes, baby shark, anemones and many many more!!” I keep recall back what I dream last night but actually that is what I imagine myself.
“Let’s don’t waste more time go to dive now.” Plankton holds my hands and we run together to the shore.
“Yeah!! Little fishy!! Wait for me I am coming!!” I enjoy shouting myself.
Without wasting any time both of us just snorkeling at first but after awhile, we start dive in to the sea even without the oxygen tank.
“See!” this is the word I want to say to Plankton to tell him the location of baby shark but I can’t open my mouth so I just point.
Under water we keep holding hand together and swim together to watch the beauties of the underwater world. All the fishes swim around us like celebrating us become a new couple. I feel like the whole underwater world belongs to both of us. A happy and colorful world. If can I want to stay with Plankton at the place forever and ever. Colorful coral at the floor of the sea like the carpet of our house, seaweed like the curtain of our house and all the creature underwater like our family. What a big and happy family that I always wishes to have for my whole life.
Everyday for 5 days we keep going to snorkeling and dive happily in the different place.
Day by day passing away so fast like a wink of eyes.
Today is the last day of our holiday. We go to snorkeling like usual. But today we just snorkel near the beach. We feed all the fishes with bread so all fishes surround us. When I am enjoying feeding all the fishes suddenly I see Plankton’s face change from happy to nervous. He just pushes me as hard as he could to aside. I still don’t know what is happening. In the chaotic situation I have drink few gulp of sea water make me choked. But when I calm down I am so shock. I see Plankton fight with something big and long grip at his left leg.
“Moray eel!” I scream in my heart.
I see Plankton’s leg bleeding and the moray eel still grip tightly at his leg. We don’t realize we actually have been watched by a much larger fish under the rock. It is just going to prey the fishes around us not to human actually. It mistaken us as its prey. Immediately I swim there and kick the eel’s eyes. Just in time the eel let off its grip and swim back to the rock.
At the time I really scare. Not the eel I scare but I scare something might happen to Plankton. He is in half-conscious condition. I almost cry at the time but I know cry is useless. So as fast as I can I get him to the beach. There are people who saw the incident quickly come to us and hold a hand to help. Plankton is sent to the nearest hospital. What can I do is follow to the hospital and accompany Plankton. I try to contact his family but failed. I don’t know what to do but what I know is HE SAVE MY LIFE. He saw the eel. He dangered his life to safe me. In the hospital the doctor told me Plankton lost too much of blood. Tonight might be the critical night for him. But if he can pass this night he will safe. I sit beside him holding his hand.
“Plankton…please wake up. Don’t leave me alone here. Wake up! You cannot break your promise! Don’t you forget what you have promise me?! You said you won’t leave me alone… Plankton…please wake up…” I can’t control myself not to cry.
“Plankton do you still remember the night? Your birthday night?! I make a wish when I saw meteor, remember? You ask me what I wish… but I didn’t tell you… now I let you know… I wish you are the one that will be together with me forever passing the rest of our life. How can you leave me without realizing my wish?! Don’t be so cruel to me……” suddenly I feel something moving in my hand.
His finger is moving!!
Immediately I run out from the room and seek for doctor!
“Doctor!! Doctor!! There is movement of Plankton’s finger!! Is it showing he will wake up?” I grab a doctor that I met at the corridor.
The doctor run into Plankton’s room and followed by 2 nurses and checks his pulse.
I stay outside since I knew I can’t stay in the room and bother their work. After 5 minute the doctor comes out and the first glance, he smiles at me.
“Congratulation. Your friend has wakened up. Miracle. He can wake up is a miracle. Anyway take care of him he is still weak.” The doctor said calmly.
“Thanks doctor!! Thanks!! You are the best doctor in the world! I want to see him now!” I jump and shake the doctor’s hand with joy.
“Wait. My nurses still checks his situation. This room still not available for you to enter for this moment.” Said the doctor again.
“Ok…sorry…oh! I’ll call his family again!” I run to the hall of hospital where hand phone are available.
“Opsss!! Sorry! Sorry Miss! Sorry I am not intentionally to run into you…” I run into a young lady that walks from in front of me. I quickly pick up her handbag and give back to her.
“Its ok…doesn’t matter…I am ok…” she says in such a polite and soft voice.
“Sorry again. I have to go now urgent. Bye!” I continue my way to the hospital hall.
Finally, this time I’ve success call Plankton’s family and I’ve told them the whole situation and they become relief when I tell them Plankton is safe now.
Once I finish the talk in the phone, I walk back to Plankton’s room. I feel so relief too and know everything is going to be like before.
“What a fresh morning” I speak in my heart when pass by a window and see sunrise but before I reach the room, I heard a familiar voice comes out from Plankton’s room.
I stop my step.
“You know how my heart feels when I get news you getting hurt? My heart almost drop out from my body” a lady’s voice. A familiar voice.
“I miss you so much since you decide to come here to work. Do your legs still hurt?” ask the lady.
“No. You have been beside me for all the time?” Plankton’s voice.
“NO! NO! IT’S ME!” this is what I want to say but my voice couldn’t come out from my mouth.
“Yes. Since you were sent into here.” Replied the lady.
“Thanks for supporting me. I heard someone calling me just now… when I really no more strength to open my eyes I almost give up but when I heard someone call me. You are the one who gives me strength to live, sorry for breaking up with you, Anemone.” Plankton’s speak with his weak voice.
These words make my whole world shake. I really don’t know what is happening now. I am so confusing.
“Can you please explain what is happening here Plankton?” without realizing I am in the room facing Plankton that holding the hands of the lady named Anemone.
The surprise thing is she is the one I ran into just now.
“You are…” Anemone try to ask.
“I am his girlfriend” I replied quickly.
“Girlfriend?! Where were you when I need you the most? Where have you been when I fought with my dead and live? Because of you I almost lost my life but you just run away when the time I need your support.” Plankton say these words with his eyesight that I never see before like swallow me even his voice still weak.
“But…actually…” I try to explain.
“You really make me disappointed. I don’t want to see you anymore.” These words come out from Plankton’s mouth like a knife stabbing my heart.
He looks at me with his eyes full with regretful really leave a big scar in my heart. Familiar eyesight but I couldn’t remember where I saw before.
Without realizing my tears drop from my eyes. I walk out from the room weakly. Step by step I reach Redang Beach Resort and get into my room.
My brain is empty but my tears don’t stop to flow out from my eyes. I don’t know since when I start packaging my thing. I left my resignation letter at the human resources office without saying a word.
At jetty there are still couple hours before the boat come. My mind flies back to the day before I came here. I still remember the dream. The dream of a man with me in the van. Finally I could match with the thing that had happen to me. The man is Plankton. The lady outside the van is Anemone. Plankton chooses to be with Anemone like the man in my dream rather choose to get off from the van to be with the lady than with me. Plankton’s eyesight….sadden and regretful eyesight like I saw from the eye of the man in my dream. A nightmare has come true. Now I believe a dream really bringing a message to us.
“Coral!! Coral!! Wait!” the voice awake me from my thought.
I still look for where the voice came from.
It’s Plankton.
He helps by a nurse with his leg still in bandage.
“Coral sorry. I don’t mean to say something like that just now. I am sorry because I misunderstand you. Now I know you are the one who stay with me and cry for me the whole night. Please forgive for hurting you. Please don’t go…do you still remember my promise?” Plankton catches up my hand and hold tightly.
“Promise? What a fake promise you have made? Be beside me and trust me no matter what happen? Won’t let anyone hurt me? But now what happen? You are the one that don’t believe in me the most. Even I did angry with your friend Anemone. But you know… the one hurt me the most is you.” Finally I can speak.
“Coral it’s my fault for not believe in you. I should know the voice that I heard when I was in critical condition is your voice. Can you please give me one more chance?!” he still holding my hand tightly without let it off. I can see tears drop from his eyes.
“Just now you are the one who have critic and scold me like I am the one has murder you whole family without giving any chance for me to defend myself. As you wish you don’t want to see me anymore. Now I’ll realizing your dream so can you please let me walk away from here with some pride? Please…Mr. Plankton…?” I look directly into his eyes.
I feel nothing this time. He slowly let off my hand and himself falls on to the sandy beach weakly with his gloomy eyes. I step into the boat that has waited there for me more than 10 minute.
In the boat I still can see Plankton still sit on the beach. His figure become smaller and smaller.
Finally what I can see I just the green island. On the boat I suddenly burst in cry quietly. I know I need some time to forget about Plankton.
I back to campus life and try to forget about everything happen during holiday by taking more courses to make myself busy. Everyday I kept receive call and mail from Plankton make me have to change my phone number, mail…I just delete away. But I can’t cheat myself. When I am alone Plankton is the one who appear in my mind.
One evening when I am waiting for bus in campus for almost one hour but not even one bus pass by. Keep looking at the place where the buses suppose to come from. Without realizing a car stop in front of me.
“Hi, Miss. May I take you for a ride to your destination?” voice came from the car.
“Er…is it ok? Because I really in rush. Thanks!” I get into the car without thinking.
“Why no bus provided here?” ask the man
“Sure have but I don’t know where all the bus gone to. Can you please fetch me back to hostel? Thanks!” I show him the way to my hostel.
“Ei? You suppose to turn here. Where are you going to?” I feel a bit nervous when seems like something wrong.
He stops his car at a place that is impossible for people to purposely come in. He starts touching my hand and press on me! I am so shock and shout for help.
“Plankton!! Help!!” I don’t realize I will call his name.
“PRAANGGG!!!” the front glass of the car is broken.
“Hey you rubbish!! What are you trying to do?!” A hand pulls the man off me and several people come to take the man that try to rape me away.
I see clearly that man that save me is Plankton!
“Plankton!!! You save me again!!” I get off from the car and hug Plankton and tight as I could.
“How stupid you are. How can you trust a stranger?” he pinch my forehead.
“Why you are here?” I ask in curiosity.
“Coral, after you left me the day at Redang Island you know how hard my heart feel? Since then I know how hurt you feel when I say some word that might make you sad. Do you still remember I have made a wish before? I wish I will be a man that Coral wishes to be with and whenever she needs me I’ll be there.” He hugs me tightly when he says this.
“Coral, I won’t hurt you and let you out of my world again.” In Plankton’s embrace, my tears drop again when I hear Plankton say these words but this time my tears is tears with joy……..
